"Why, out of all the stars above, why do they insist on dragging me onto this Republic deathtrap? Especially on my day off, it's not like I ask for much, a roof over my head, food on the table and something of a life outside the workplace, so why screw with my time?" Morgan grumbled into her comlink on the way to the Naval Shipyard.
"Because the General wanted the best, and you're it kid. Besides seems he asked for you by name." Carrus replied with a slight laugh that his younger employee knew well.
"Yeah I've heard that before" she groaned as the shipyard drew near. "He asked for me by name, do you know who this guy is?"
"No idea, military secret or something, all I know is that this General asked for the best Comm technician around and your name was it" Carrus stated. "Just quit the griping and go on that damned ship, do the job and come home, the sooner you finish the job the sooner you can wriggle a vacation out of me."
"Promises, promises!" Morgan groaned before signing off once the shuttle landed, then going about gathering her gear and trekking to the ship and it's mysterious General.
Once on the ship Morgan was quickly escorted to her private quarters, which were sparsely decorated but comfortable, and actually quite a surprise for a war ship. It was also during that walk to quarters that try as she might to get her escort to tell her who the General was, no luck was had and it was beginning to irritate the hell out of her.
It was just a matter of minutes before a lone lieutenant appeared at her quarters to escort her to the General's office. "The General wishes to meet with you about certain problems the ship is experiencing at this time" he explained as they traversed what seemed an endless maze of corridors until arriving at a rather unassuming door where they stopped and he motioned Morgan to go inside. And without another word the lieutenant turned and headed down the corridor as the door hissed shut behind her.
"Great dump the tech and run..." Morgan mumbled in irritation when she found the office empty. " This is ridiculous I should be at home sitting back doing nothing and here I am waiting on some tight-assed General to make an appearance, just wonderful, what could happen next.."
"A certain tight-assed General could hear your remark," a very familiar voice said from behind upon entering his office, making Morgan spin around to face him, " and frankly I'm rather surprised, I've never heard you call me that before, is it good or bad?"
"Oh definitely good...Sith Kenobi, you didn't have to give me heart failure!" Morgan grinned as she took a step closer, "and all this secrecy, you couldn't just tell me you were the one requesting my assistance?"
"Thought you might not come if you knew it was me" he replied as he also stepped forward and lightly ran a hand across her cheek. "I mean let's face it Morgan, you weren't exactly happy the last time we crossed paths."
"True, a girl doesn't like to be turned on and then dumped because of some security matter across the galaxy" she shot back as the familiar electricity between them became almost tangible as they slowly inched closer together. "I mean, face it Obi-Wan it was the first time we'd been together in months...I missed you...I wanted you."
"Oh I wanted you too...real bad...it's just that you know my life, you know what I am."
"Yes and I respect that, but it doesn't mean I have to like it all the time, especially when you're dragged from my bed" Morgan stated with conviction. "Now will you just shut up and kiss me, or are we going to just talk?"
"Demanding today aren't you?" he mischievously grinned before kissing her with such force they stumbled blindly into the desk behind them, a blur of hands in motion as the desire raged between them once again.
"Are you trying to kill me or something?" Morgan asked as she took a ragged breath and gave him that wicked smile he loved.
"Or something like that." Obi-Wan seductively said as he hovered over her while they leaned against his military issue desk, neither one taking their hands off the other.
"One other thing, when did you become a General?"
"Oh about a month ago," he whispered on her lips, "you should really read your messages better, I let you know..."
"You did not! All you said was that you had moved up in the ranks..."
"True, I thought you knew me better than that" he softly purred in her ear. "You should know I don't do anything half way. Now quit arguing and shut up so I can kiss you!"
"Oh you'll have to do much better than that General, much better." Morgan taunted as she slowly unbuttoned his shirt and thrilled in the feel of his skin beneath her fingertips.
"I'm sure I can...you just hold on tight because it's going to be one hell of a ride...and Morgan one other thing, I love how you call me that." Obi-Wan grinned wickedly.
"Call you what...General...?" She whispered in his ear as she could literally feel the shiver run through his body and found the control she held over this man intoxicating.
"That's the one" he moaned in response before quickly picking her up by the waist and sliding them both onto the desk as the clutter scattered to the floor. Within seconds the need to take this to fruition was overwhelming, clothes began to find their way to the floor also and every kiss, every touch became electric.
Bbbbbppp...bbbbbppp...
"Don't do it Kenobi, I'm warning you." Morgan glared as the comlink buzzed insistently from the floor below.
"I'm sorry Morgan, the crew knows that I'm not to be disturbed unless it's a dire emergency." Obi-Wan groaned before leaning down to grab the hellish device. "Kenobi here, and it had better be damn good or somebody is going to pay!" he threatened upon answering.
"Sorry sir but it is urgent, we've had another incident on the bridge." The unseen voice hesitated before continuing. "It's the same as before, somebody has tapped into our computers and they're trying to gain access to the controls."
"I'll be right there, same drill as before, power down the entire ship and prey they don't gain access before we do" Obi-Wan ordered as he switched off the comlink. "Sorry love, I'll make it up to you next time, I promise" he vowed with a quick kiss and then began to hurriedly get dressed. "Would you care to join me, I'd like you to take a look an see if you can help assess the situation?"
Sure, why not, doesn't look like anything's going to happen here." Morgan sighed as she got dressed and the lights in the ship dimmed to emergency red. "Besides I'm not going to find my way back to my quarters in this lovely hue, I'd be lost for days.
"Stick with me love, I'll make sure you get to the bridge and then back to my quarters" he grinned innocently.
"Yeah, right, promises, promises Kenobi, that's all I hear..."

"How long has this been happening?" Morgan questioned as she and Obi-Wan quickly made their way to the bridge.
"Little things began to occur two weeks ago, the major incidents began about three days ago" Obi-Wan stated calmly.
"What type of little things?"
"First it was just simple things, garbled transmissions, delayed relays, things like that, then it became a race to see who could gain complete access to the ship, so far we've been lucky and that's just from the simple fact that we've literally shut down the entire ship."
"Your people can't find out who or what's behind this?" Morgan questioned in disbelief as the bridge came in sight.
"They've been able to slow things down, but the truth is I feel it's an inside job, and frankly I don't know who my enemies are just yet. Granted as the days pass I'm getting a better feel for who I can and cannot trust, but right now I need somebody I know I can trust, and that's you Morgan." Obi-Wan confided.
"But Obi-Wan I'm not an expert at this type of problem, relays yes, communication systems giving you a fit no problem, but this is out of my league." Morgan began to object before Obi-Wan stopped walking and turned to face her.
"I don't think so," he flatly said before giving her a killer smile then turning to head onto the bridge leaving her to stand there in shock. "This way please" he insisted in his best take charge tone as all heads turned once he entered the bridge and it was down to business.

"You know you don't have to stay in there all night" Obi-Wan sighed as he peered into the crawlspace where Morgan had disappeared into hours ago. "You gained us some time, why don't you call it a day and get some rest," he urged.
"I just don't know, I'm not sure if this bypass I hooked up will keep this creep out..." Morgan began to protest until she spotted a black clad figure begin to make his way into the small opening. "Alright, alright I'm coming...that's all I need is for the crew to see their General trapped in this crawlspace. Granted on the other hand it might be the only way I can get you to myself" she giggled.
"You have a point, but I think I can do better than a crawlspace." He grinned as he backed out and extended his hand to help her out.
"Your damn right you can do better than a crawlspace.... Ooowww...stupid ship!" Morgan loudly exclaimed after bumping her head on a low hanging pipe. "I heard that Kenobi!"
"Heard what?" Obi-Wan innocently asked with a hint of laughter still in his voice, "you must be mistaken love I'd never laugh at you and your predicament. Besides you insulted my ship."
"Yeah, you think I believe that one...why don't you try selling me desert property on Hoth!"Morgan snorted as she finally emerged from her grubby little hole. "Your ship deserved it for attacking me" she griped as she grabbed her gear and they began to walk.
"Technically love I could sell you desert property on Hoth, an ice desert to be exact, not all deserts have to be hot and sandy" he taunted and quickly dodged a tool being thrown in his direction.
"Damn, I'll have to try harder next time...you and your Jedi reflexes...and stop that! You know I hate when you do that to me!"
"I believe you've told me that before" he sighed with a laugh "why do you think I enjoy baiting you so much?"
"Because...well because you enjoy this torture a little too much for your own good." Morgan groaned as they finally arrived at his quarters and he motioned her inside with a hand to the small of her back. "I thought you Jedi were suppose to be stoic and all that?"
"We can be upon occasions, I just happen to have this mischievous streak which I can't control from time to time, you should know this by now. Besides if you didn't enjoy the torture you wouldn't keep coming back for more," he gleamed before quickly spinning around taking her off guard. Then throwing her to the bed in one swift move as she squealed in surprise when he flipped her to her stomach.

"Yes..Oh yes..lower just a little more..." Morgan moaned loudly.
"Is this better?" Obi-Wan said with concentration. "Right here? Is this what you want, I mean Sith Morgan you're so tense!" he exclaimed.
"Yeah, that's it... almost...just a little more pressure...Oh gods yes!" She hoarsely shouted. "What ever you do, don't move from that spot."
"I mean it's been a while since we've done this, but I know that can't be good."
"Ok, over to the left...the left side...right there, a little higher...Oooohhh, that's nice" Morgan purred "this feels so good, I forgot how good you were" she sighed contently.
"Always knew those classes in massage therapy had to come in handy some day" Obi-Wan mused. "You are so tense tonight, you've got to stop crawling around these confined spaces for hours at a time" he ordered.
"I'll try to remember that...it's probably just sexual frustration..." Morgan mumbled before relaxing and quickly drifting off the sleep.
"Speaking of sexual frustration" Obi-Wan sighed with a smile before leaning down and kissing her cheek. "I think I'll take a cold shower, a long cold shower."

"Explain this to me one more time, but slowly" Obi-Wan requested as he kneeled down beside Morgan who was buried amongst wires and equipment deep within the furthermost portion of the ship.
"See this black wire here?" she began as she traced the wire with a tool, " it leads to this little box here. Now notice how this red wire from that same box leads to this little thingy there?" she added, as she pointed to an odd shaped splitter on the far side. "Now if my hunch is right, if I can rig something to that red wire and that thingy over there we might be in business."
"Do I dare ask what you want to put in there?" he smirked as she was too engrossed in thought to notice his amused look.
"It's one of those," Morgan replied as she handed him a deadly looking gadget which was amassed in wires and buttons. "That do-flippy there" she added, never stopping her work to see him.
"Right...this do-flippy here" Obit-Wan loudly sighed as he turned the device over in his hand. "You know, it always amazes me that you know what you're doing, because not once since the first time I saw you work have I ever heard you call anything by its proper name."
Those were the only words he had to say to make Morgan turn around to notice him and his smart-ass grin. "Hey Kenobi, just because I don't say the names of these devices properly doesn't mean I don't know what I'm doing let alone what they truly are." She loudly admonished, as she looked him in the eyes, a mere few inches away. "What you hold in your hand dearest one is a Meridian Chorolym Drep Splitter cable box or MCD for short, model number 14343. I hook this baby up and punch in a few codes to my private computer and maybe just maybe we'll get lucky and find out who exactly is hacking into your ship, oh great Jedi man."
"I never said you didn't know what you were doing, I know you're the best, I was only referring to your...vocabulary." Obi-Wan insisted with that same smart-ass grin which only became more prominent. "And furthermore I happen to enjoy listening to you and your little pet names for these components, besides it's a little too... disturbing when you speak techno babble."
"Disturbing...in what way?"
"In the fact that I seem to find it very...sexy." He softly whispered before leaning in to passionately kiss her, taking her totally by surprise. "You now know my weakness, just what are you going to do about it?"
"Well for starters I am going to finish this job and then go back to my quarters and see if we can catch this jerk. After that I am going to take every opportunity imaginable to speak techno babble whenever you're around." Morgan slyly smiled before running a finger across his chin. "One way or the other Kenobi, I will get what I want!"
"So is that a threat?" Obi-Wan mused as he cocked his head to the side to see her better.
"You can take it anyway you wish, however I consider it a challenge and a promise." Morgan giggled before lightly kissing his cheek, "Now go on and get out of here, I have too much work to get done with you and these distractions" she quickly ordered.
"Yes ma'am, as you wish, and what distractions are you referring to anyway?" he suddenly questioned as he began to back off.
"Would you like them numerically, alphabetically or by body part?"
"I get the picture, but Morgan for the record...you do know you were the one who fell asleep on me last night." Obi-Wan teased.
"Yeah, yeah...I remember" she sighed loudly in defeat "but who's comlink disturbed us earlier? It wasn't me that time, or the time before that." She smiled in triumph before realizing this was actually not a victory. "Must be your magnetic charm, huh?" Morgan giggled with an evil glint in her eyes.
"Oh love you wound me!" Obi-Wan loudly groaned as he fought a smile. "You know I will make you pay for that remark."
"Promises, promises Kenobi, force knows I've heard you tell me that before, now it's about time to back it up."
"I will...soon...very soon...or the two of us will kill each other...but I'll make you pay believe me Morgan, you'll not be able to think straight let alone move." He said with conviction.
"Did I forget to mention that once this job is over I'll get vacation time? She baited, "You by any chance don't have any leave coming to you?"
"Get to work then, you've got a job to finish and I have a ton of things to take care of before I can put in for leave!" He eagerly ordered, "One way or the other I will get you alone, because Force knows it's become something of a challenge and I'm not about to loose!"
"Ah...General, does this mean you're actually going to join me?
"Hurry up and finish this job and you'll find out" he grinned. "But I do have one request, can we go someplace warm, with lots of water and a cool breeze at night to sleep by?"
"To get you all to myself, with no distractions I'd dig you a damn ocean!" Morgan loudly exclaimed as Obi-Wan couldn't help but laugh.
"You really do love me don't you?" he grinned madly.
"You're just realizing that? How they ever made you General I'll never know!" she sighed before going back to work.
"No, I've know for a long time now...Morgan, I love you too." He confessed before suddenly disappearing leaving her to stop what she was doing at the realization of his words. Words they had both felt but neither would admit nor say.

"Obi-Wan would you please stop pacing!" Morgan asked for the tenth time that night. "You're starting to make me dizzy, besides we've been through this for the last two days, you should be used to the waiting by now."
"The last two days have tested my limits!" he shot back angrily. "Two days ago when you started this little trap I had no idea it would possibly involve my superiors! How else do you think I should act?" he challenged as Morgan took a deep breath to calm herself.
"Look, I understand you're upset..."
"Upset...that doesn't come anywhere close! Why don't you try the word livid, or maybe even pissed as hell, but upset, that described my feelings yesterday! Obi-Wan loudly exclaimed as Morgan slowly stood up and now walked in front of him to stop his pacing. Suddenly she gently placed the back of her hand to his cheek and stroked it gently as she looked in his eyes.
"Think about what I'm going to say and think about it long and hard" she softly ordered as she could still see the anger burning within him. "You are a strong man, the strongest I've ever known, and you are also a smart man...do the math Obi-Wan. You know as well as I do that these people are testing you, yes it is wrong, and yes you have every right to be angry. However, if you do not center yourself and calm down things are going to get worse before they'll get better."
Ever so slowly she watched as he closed his eyes and took a deep breath before looking at her once more with a calmer expression behind those eyes she loved so much. "Alright let's assume it's true that these people are behind things, why would they do this?" Morgan gently quizzed.
"Because I'm a Jedi." Obi-Wan calmly replied. "It's a well known fact that certain factions within the higher echelon of the Republic fleet were against the Jedi's involvement, let alone the fact that one would be commanding their troops."
"So I'll ask once more, why would they do this to you? What reasoning would they have?"
"To discredit me and help prove that the Jedi are incapable of commanding a Republic Warship" he thought aloud. "This way if they can hack into the computers and take control of the ship they can prove I'm unfit to be in charge of their troops." Obi-Wan continued as the realization of his words struck him as Morgan nodded her head in agreement before leaning up on tiptoes to kiss him softly.
"Now what are we going to do about this?" she gleamed.
"We are not going to do anything...you are already in too deep as is!" Obi-Wan ordered.
"Oh really now, since when did you decide you could order me around like one of your crew?" Morgan quickly demanded in a calm voice, which should have told him the point was moot.
"Since I have to fight this battle by myself, besides I don't want to see you get hurt if things get out of hand." He gently confided before kissing her forehead.
"What if I were to suggest a way to make your authority well heard and cause a little chaos in it's own right." She sweetly smiled as her hand traced lazy circles along his chest. "There is a way to turn this back on whomever started this and with a little luck and patience I know we can do this." Morgan slowly baited.
"Just what do you have in mind?" Obi-Wan asked hesitantly as he grabbed her hand in his.
"Well I was thinking...that if I put my mind to it I could gain access to these individual's systems and turn the tables on them so to speak" she explained.
"But for what gain? Revenge?" he questioned sternly.
"No, not revenge, we would not jeopardize peoples lives as they've insistently done for ages now. No I would only toy with their systems, you know something along the lines of ewoks running across their screens constantly. But only after you spoke to those in authority you do trust and told them of what has been going on." She insisted "let them see you're not a pawn in their game to discredit the Jedi."
"As much as your idea does appeal to me right now, it has too much potential to blow up in our faces" he objected. "There are too many variables, besides I do believe the best method to solve this little problem is the most direct, you get me the proof I need to bring these individuals to light and then I take a little trip to the Jedi Temple and the Senate."
"And you thought my idea was dangerous...alright, I'll get your proof!" Morgan smiled as he kissed her inner wrist. "But it'll cost you."
"I'm afraid to ask...but what will this price be?"
"Nothing too taxing," she giggled. "Just promise me you'll relax and stop this insistent pacing, you're driving me crazy, I can't think straight with you mumbling and pacing at once."
"You drive a hard bargain, but I think I can agree to your terms" Obi-Wan stated in his best General tone. "Besides I don't think I'd want you as an enemy..." he mischievously grinned.
"Hey, I just think on my feet, and sometimes don't see the consequences, that's all," Morgan objected before going back to her computer.
"That's what scares me, I think you missed your calling dear girl, you would have been superb in intelligence gathering for the military."
"Nope don't think so...then I'd have to deal with these tight-assed military types all the time" she wickedly smiled to him.
"Hey I thought you said you liked mine?" Obi-Wan objected with a gleam.
"Yours yes, theirs no, now sit down and do something constructive or I'll have to kick you out." She once again ordered after noticing his pacing beginning anew. "Tell you what, since you seem to want to walk, why don't you go make yourself useful and get us something to eat."
"I can do that..." he quickly agreed before disappearing for a little while giving Morgan a chance to gather the data, which had just come through. Data, which looked to be the proof Obi-Wan, would need when speaking to the Jedi Council and the Senate.

"This is really getting to be too much" Morgan sighed as she trudged from the shuttle upon arriving at her island paradise for vacation, Kenobi-less. "How much longer do these people think they can screw with my life!" She continued as the people around her gave her odd looks as they slowly backed away. "It'll just be a few days to clear this up Morgan, that's all." She mocked in her best imitation of Obi-Wan. "A few days, it's been over two weeks! And what's your problem lady?" She suddenly challenged, as a fellow vacationer stood frozen from fear to the spot before her, a little afraid of the woman carrying on a conversation with herself in different voices.
"You know I should just contact Kenobi and tell him what he can do with himself!" she thought aloud on the drive to the secluded beach house. "Yeah, tell him exactly what he's not going to be getting from me for the rest of his life...yeah, that'll teach him to be all General like..." As Morgan rambled she never noticed the scenery flying by at break neck speed as the driver became a little nervous at his neurotic passenger and was bound and determined to end this trip quickly.
Upon arriving at the beach house she went from room to room looking over everything and slowly calmed down, but not by much, that is until she saw the flowers by the bedside table. "Damn, him..." she sighed as she read the attached note and his apology, "you know Kenobi, you're making it kinda hard to stay mad at you..."
By the second day Morgan had given herself over to the fact that this vacation was hers and she was not going to let disappointment over being in this beautiful romantic spot alone, spoil all her fun. So by mid morning she was out on the private beach swimming, sunning and going fully native.
"What the..." she exclaimed as she felt the shadow fall over her body as she laid on her stomach in the sand and without thought grabbed for the blaster she had kept hidden under the corner of the blanket.
"It's good to see you're protecting yourself... a little slow... but I figure with you not wearing a top, that should gain you a pretty damn good advantage!" Obi-Wan grinned as she kept the blaster pointed in his direction. "I take it you're still a little upset?"
"You could put it that way..." she stated calmly before laying the blaster down and grabbing her shirt. "What brings you here to my private beach?"
"Oh I see, you really are pissed at me this time...your beach you say? I had thought I'd come and surprise you but I can leave if you wish?" he sweetly continued as she now stood up and slipped her shirt on before standing toe to toe with him. "You didn't have to dress for my account." He wickedly smiled.
"I think I do...maybe I should tell you to leave...and yes I am upset to put it mildly...you seem to have that effect on me lately" she confided before he suddenly pulled her close and kissed her deeply.
"Then you might miss me." He cockily smiled as he ran his hand across her back. "Might I suggest something to help alleviate this condition?" Obi-Wan baited before suddenly scooping her up in his arms and trekked to the water as she fought.
"So help me Obi-Wan if you do this you'll pay!" Morgan loudly threatened as he walked into the water in full uniform.
"Promises, promises" he laughed before suddenly dropping her unceremoniously into the water. "I believe I've heard that before!" he madly laughed as she sputtered upon surfacing and giving him the glare of death.
"Believe me General you will pay for that!" And with out hesitation she grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him near before kicking his foot out from under him. "See told ya!" Morgan gleamed as Obi-Wan fell backwards without much grace, now thoroughly drenched from head to toe.
"You little fiend!" he exclaimed with a laugh as he quickly pulled her down to him in the low surf. "Oh you are going to get it now, you've ruined a perfectly good uniform, and I'm not even going to mention the boots."
"So what are you going to do about it?" Morgan giggled before nipping at his lower lip.
"I'm sure I can think of something, and believe me I will make you pay over and over again."
"Sure, promises, promises..." she evilly smiled. "But first why don't we get you out of these clothes, they're a little too...what's the word I'm looking for...too wet...no!"
"How about ...too imposing!" Obi-Wan seductively said as he was quickly helped out of his shirt by very eager hands. "I take it you've missed me?"
"Afraid so, and most certainly those fringe benefits to this crazy relationship of ours." Morgan sighed longingly, "You don't have to go back to the ship, or the Senate or the Jedi Council or anybody else for that matter any time soon, do you?"
"No ma'am, I am all yours for the next few days"
"What about that damned comlink of yours?"
"Don't think it'll work now!" He grinned as he pulled it from his pants pocket and threw it into deeper water.
"Good, then no distractions, interruptions, or galactic catastrophes to disturb us for the next few days! Well then Kenobi, the way I see it, you have your work cut out for you over the next few days now. And believe me, we're both going to need a vacation to recover from this vacation!" Morgan smiled as she grabbed him by the hand to drag him towards the beach.
"So does this mean the next few days are surf, sand and sex?" Obi-Wan grinned with a gleam in his eyes as he followed her to the blanket.
"Hell, who said anything about surf and sand!" she exclaimed before pulling him down to her and kissing him with such want it was intoxicating.
