She envisioned her own business doing what she loved and decided to futher her knowledge of sewing and esign. She completed the course in dressmaking and design from the International Correspondence School (ICS) and thus Garments of Distinction (with the first letters of each word spelling GOD, who is first and foremost!) was birthed. Over the years she has done dozens of wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses, formal wear, business and casual wear for men, women and children of all ages. Her experience also included doing alterations for Websters Men's Store, making children's clothing for the African store, Chicoma; making clothing from african fabric for Prince's Gift Shop in the VCU area and oing bridal gown alterations and making bridesmaids dresses fore the bridal boutique, Formal Wear, IA.
She is a single parent of four...Clarence, Jr., Krysandra, Kandace and Kyra.
Subremia has been blessed with a multitude of talents besides sewing. She is a writer, artist, singer and musician. She credits her Heavenly Father for her talents. How can we be made in the image of a Creative God and not be endowed with some creativity?
Subremia is a member of the Abundant Life Church of Christ where she is a member of the Sanctuary Choir and the Public Relations Committee and is Editor of the church newsletter.
She is also a member of the Gospel group IN FAITH.
