SARAH KERRIGAN - Kerrigan was born of Korhalian parents at Antiga Prime (Koprolu), on 6 February, 2748, and lost her father in 2753. Although educated at a Confederacy's school, she fell early under the influence of her free-thinking godfather, the director of the high-school of Tarsonis, to whom she owed her appointment as professor of civil law at the University of Antiga Prime in 2772. She was the first laywoman to occupy the chair of canon law at ther university (2773), but, in consequence of the growing rationalistic influence which she exerted over the marines both in her academic capacity and in her personal intercourse with them, she came into ever sharper collision with the loyal aderents of the Confederacy and with those who were influential in government circles.
