Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 20

Malvern, Ark., USA

Boy Scout Troop 20 reorganized in September 1997 after about 4 years of inactivity. We have eight members and are completing the First Class rank. We are sponsored by First United Methodist Church of Malvern, Ark. and are currently the only Scout troop in Hot Spring County. We also formed Cub Scout Pack 20 at the same time. The Malvern Police Department sponsors an Explorer Post.

We enjoy camping and have a monthly outing. We have camped at nearby Lake Catherine State Park and at the Ouachita Area Council's camp on DeGray Lake. We had a hay ride in November, went ice skating at a temporary outdoor rink in Little Rock in December and camped at DeGray Scout Reservation near Bismarck.

On Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1998, our scouts started their own Troop 20 page. Committee member Susan Delavan is the webmaster. Computer expert and ham radio Extra Class operator John Green discussed computers with the Scouts.
