Materials Needed
Clear glass plate
Mod Podge - (or watered down Elmers glue)
Material cut in little squares (use pinking shears on the edges)
Spray Sealer (optional)
Paint brush
Directions:
Paint the back of the plate with some Mod Podge and place the material squares over it. (Do this a little at a time)
Continue doing this overlapping the square pieces. Twist and turn how you put the pieces on. (don't just follow a line).
Brush Mod Podge on the back of all the pieces once on the plate.
This helps seal them more and helps them lay flatter.
Let the plate dry completely.
Brush another layer of Mod Podge over the material on the plate. This helps seal it more.
Let the plate dry completely.
Spray with some type of sealer.
These plates are NEVER to be put in the dishwasher or immersed in dishwater.
By the material you use you could make a special plate for any special event, or holiday you want.
Here are two different samples that we have done. One is a Halloween example and the other has Cardinals and leaves. The plate that didn't have all the ridges was much easier to do.
