DIXIE ALL ALONE...
Dixie was dominating his poor brother, Pixie, and keeping all the sunflower seeds for
himself. Minding is little business, he didn`t know love and jealousy yet. That was
until he met the sexiest and cutiest young female.
Immediately accepted into the group, the new critter was placed on a pedestal. Soon
started a fight between the brothers. No compromize. No half/half. Dixie wanted it all.
No pity for Pixie! Dixie started biting and boxing Pixie.
The poor Pixie, hurt, ran in a corner and started tumping like crazy, trying to bring the
master`s attention upon him. It worked. The master took the shaking Pixie in his hands
and tried to calm him down. Then, slowly, Pixie relaxed. He looked so sad. No need to say
how furious against Dixie the master was!
So Dixie ended up alone. There was no place for him! He was too much agressive with other
gerbils. He had to move on Pierre`s second floor, separated by a thick cardboard.
Unfortunately, Dixie managed to scratch his way down to the grid, pulverising the
cardboard. When the old Pierre saw the paws of a stranger trough his ceiling grid, he
took a big breath and SNAP! Dixie was furious! He made a big insulted "squeak" and the
master did put twice more cardboards to protect the floor grid. NO WAY! The "now red
mad" Dixie scratched and gnawed furiously until he reached the grid again. This time, he was
waiting for Pierre. He carefully left his paws on a remaining cardboard piece. When the
innocent Pierre came sniffing trough the bars...GNAP! Dixie took a good bite out of his nose!
There was no hope for Dixie. He ended up in a plastic container. Waiting for a new cage,
his stay in there was undetermined. Actually, it was a big camping container, with a grid
for cover. Soon Dixie jumped out and had a free run, until he was caught again and the
grid was fixed.
Poor Dixie all alone for days, thinking of his princess that he just lost! And a very happy Pixie
ended up with the princess, the cage and the seeds. Later, Dixie would get a second chance, but it's another story...
