So, you are here for some insight, and hopefully, information on your line of the Bashore's. Well, my line of Bashore's came from/or currently living in OH, PA, or TN. The Bashore name most likely came from a French name of LeBaisuer or LeBaissuer (though this hasn't been excepted by many genealogist). Meaning, "one who kisses". Already we're getting into some cool stuff on genealogy. The LeBaisuer's were French Huguenots that were percecuted and fled France to other near by countries. Because of this the name had be corrupted many times over through contact with the Germans and English. Some of these names are as follows:
Of course, BASHORE, BAYSHORE, BASHAIR, BASHOR, BASORE, BAISEUR, BOESZHAAR, BASOR, BASEHOR, BASEHORE, BASEHERE, BAYSORE, BAYSHOUR, BACUSORE, BASOUR, BAYSOUR, BASHAR, BASORE, BOESHORE, BOSHAAR, BASSIERE, BASEU, BOESHAAR, BAISSEUR, BESOR, BEASHORE, BASHIR, BASHAW, BASHOHR, BAZEMORE, BEISSER, BESHORE, BAUSCHER, BOSOHORE. And, there are many more.
Yes! They are all real names. And they all have some similarities, too!
NOTE: A distance cousin sent me an email, and what he had to say is true: "...there is much wrong information being disseminated..." So, I urge you as he did me, research as much as you can, and then research some more. I'm sure you found, as have I, there is a lot of conflicting information being distributed. For instance, the LeBaisuer was an hypothesis that was presented years ago. But, still an interesting one for a genealogist such as myself. Good Luck...hunting!!!
Here are some other names I'm researching: MANNING, BIXLER, PEARSON, HENRY, SELSOR, MUMAW, FOGLE, HARDEN, ELLIOTT, FRANCIS
Click HERE and see my line of ancestors. You will find that some later relatives show 'living', in which they are not. It's just how the software interpratted my tables. But, you will find the 'Ahnentafel' numbering starts with number 1(one), which is me. Just keep paging forward using the buttons on the bottom of the page until you get to number 4(four), which starts with my immediate grandparents. If you you like the GEDCOM download, you will need to contact me. This 'ancestoral tree' will only be up for a short while. Please sign my guest book if you are able to use any of this information, and of course, if you are able to help me in my quest.
