You will find that most of my links are for Canadian Animal Welfare group. The reason, well I'm Canadian :-, but there are international ones too. I hope that they will be of some help for all who care about cats and other animals on this planet.

Cats Anonymous The no kill cat shelter were I volunteer. All cats stay with us until we find a home for them or they stay with us forever.
We firmly believe adult cats deserve a second chance. And of course we will always take them back if it doesn't work out. We are located in Halton Hills and surronding area in Southern Ontario.

Mississauga Animal Rescue Service aka MARS.Another no-kill Canadian cat rescue shelter. "is a non-profit, officially registered charity, devoted to the rescue of stray, abandoned and feral cats in the Mississauga, Ontario area. 905-855-0357. The Organization is run solely by volunteers, and is entirely dependent upon donations from the public and corporations to fund its programs"

Wear a purple ribbon to show your support for our fellow creatures on this plant. When people ask you what the ribbon is for tell them. I have had some interesting conversation with people because of this ribbon, some people still think its okay to wear an animals "fur" or as I tell them "skin". Support your local animal shelters by donating time, money or supplies like pet food, litter boxes etc. Give to animal welfare groups that you've check into, some according to the book "Human Kind" written by Cleveland Amory are backed by hunting groups. If you can get a copy of the book at the local library please read it. It was written in the seventies, but unfortunaly not much has improve for our animal friends.
Also in Canada is the INTERNATIONAL FUND FOR ANIMAL WELFARE.
This organization helps all animal who "share" our planet. They are at 400-410 re Bank Street, Ottawa, Ontario K2P 1Y8.
Please help our animal friends in any way you can, small ways, like feeding the birds, helping at a shelter, sending money to organizations, any help will be greatly appricated by our friends and co-inhabiters of our planet.
