My Rainbow Bridge Kitties

MY RAINBOW BRIDGE KITTIES

Kitty and Shadow my Rainbow Angels

My first Kitty.

When I first got married my hubby knew that I had always wanted a cat, but growing up I never got the chance to have one. So one Christmas he found some people who wanted to get rid of a cute long haired kitty. I don’t know what the previous owners were like, but he was such a shy boy. He would get behind a book case and we would have to take all the books out to get him. All his life he was very timid. If you sneezed he would run and hide, but we loved him anyway. We named him Jean-tom (french name as I’m from Quebec) but he was always known as Kitty.

He lived to be 21 years old and passed over to the Rainbow bridge this past May.

Next came Shadow.

I was walking home from work one dark November night and there was the cutest little black kitty following these two girls. They went into a restaurant to get her some milk. I asked if it was their kitty and they said “no” and that who ever it followed should take her home with them. Well, I figured that she might get hurt because this was a major roadway, so I said "how about I take her home with me". I advertised but no one ever claimed her, but by then she had already claimed our hearts.

She loved to climb onto your lap and if she was sitting next to you while you were busy doing something else she would have to have a paw on you at all times. When I went to bed she would lay her head and paws on my arm and purr me to sleep. She was a very loving kitty. I still miss her greatly at bedtime, its not the same any more.

She passed away at 14 years old, after fighting very hard against cancer. It was exactly a month after Kitty in June that she went over the Rainbow Bridge too. This was our worst possible spring.

Here are the memorials that my hubby made for our two Rainbow Angels.
