The saints are surgeons of the heart.
Not brutes who tear unconverted souls apart.
Like the profession doctors of our day,
the saints understand there is a special way.
When dealing with spiritual love,
be wise as serpents, harmless as doves.
Preparation must always be done,
the surgeon first examines each feeble one.
He never would just take a patient and start to slice,
That kind of technique just isn't right.
Nor would he enter the operating room,
with dirty hands or the improper tools.
Care must be taken when dealing with a precious life,
If one were to hack and hammer without proper skills,
Anything might happen and the patient could be killed.
When we appoint ourselves to be God's surgeons,
Remember, He is the chief of staff,
malpractice insurance doesn't cover,
to God that soul cannot be replaced by another.
Keep in mind Jesus is the blood donor,
He has redeemed us,
he's our owner.
Yet that life saving transplant can't begin,
until the sufferer agrees to open up his heart
and let the healing begin.
Then with skilled hands, His gifts imparted.
Spiritual Surgeons are God's hands,
the tools He uses to help populate His Heavenly,
Holy lands.
