TREEDOX
Copyright...Linda Nixon
Trapped in a place I've learned to stay.
Behind the solid bark.
Hiding an otherwise sullen face.
An allegory to my felt,
sinful disgrace.
Unwanted emotions, pile on the aging rings.
Sadness and despair,
seem to control most everything.
Tough weathered barked.
Branches that keep me trapped in the dark.
Where is that fiery light?
That welcomed cleansing spark.
The one promised to be the wages of sin.
The final execution of my demons within.
Where is that freedom spark.
The guarantee that releases me.
From my rooted, hellish spot!
Earth this is.
Heaven its not.
My rooted tree.
Its really me!
I bear the cross of my Fathers lot.
I feel the weight the Son's blood brought.
Its a battle every repented sinner has faced and fought.
As we deal with anothers fallen tree.
From Christ, to Adam and Eve.
Treedox, creating human paradox.
