Stolen Past
...residential schools ...
There is a man... no name attached.
His hair hung long...down his back,
silky, shiny black.
Seems I know him...sadness prevails.
In his face, the mirror holds.
The truth locked away...to remain.
The shattered glass...one day will release a secret past.
The mirror is time.
It's day will fade.
A view once clear, now we blow the dust away.
But underneath the secret remains,
waiting, longing.
For release now gone astray.
The eagle unlocks the silent passing of time.
The eagle is blind...not sown from it's own.
Stolen by hands evil...and unkind.
