I also sewed for my children, even blue jeans for the really skinny long legged son, and painted on the girls dresses even before there was a craf and special paints for doing so. I have canned for years, and just finished canning 90 qts. of new potatoes, and 62 qts. of snap beans. As a child I walked for miles to carry Christmas packages to neighbors. These were cookies made from scratch and de orated by my step-mother, frozen for freshness, then packaged in covered cigar boxes begged from the drug store and their customers.
