These are pictures of my Cook and Marshall lines.
I have disabled right click on all my pictures. But
I am willing to share with you if you contact me and let me know how you
are related to my family. Most of these pictures were part of my
Grandma Carmichael's collection. A couple of them were shared with
me by cousins I met on the net.
The lovely lady at the left is my great great grandmother, Rachel D.
Cook Marshall Eakins. I never had the privilege of knowing her as
she died a couple of years before I was born. But I've heard my
mother and my aunts and uncles tell what a wonderful woman she was and
how much they loved her.
I have not been able to obtain a picture of my great
great grandfather, Franklin Marshall, but someday hope that I might find
one.
The following picture was taken in 1951 at the Matter Park in Marion,
Grant Co., Indiana at the Marshall Family Reunion. As a little girl
growing up in Marion, I remember going to these reunions with my great
grandma, Anna Estella Marshall Babb. I always loving refer to her
as "Mimi". Oh how I loved that woman -- and she loved me! There's
a story in our family that wherever you found Mimi, you would find Sandy.
And it's true. We were almost inseparable for the first eight
years of my life. You can see for yourself in this next picture...she's
in the front row and that little girl standing beside her is me! Thanks
to my mother and her sisters and cousin Lowell Shafer, we have
identified everyone in this picture except the back row. If you can
identify these Marshall family members, please contact me.
This next picture is a five generation family picture
taken September 4, 1900 on William Cook's 96th birthday in Swayzee, Grant
Co., Indiana.
This picture is of six of the eight daughters of Jacob
and Anna (Hockett) Cook.
My 2nd great grandmother, Rachel D. Cook Marshall Eakins is
on the right in the front row.
