Fourth Meeting - Feb 29, 2004

The Highlighters met Feb 29, 2004 in Georgia Graham's home, with Sister Jan Jackson, A.G.C.'s group, who later moved to another room for their business.

The meeting was called to order by Sister Carolyn Glover, president. The minutes of the last meeting was read and approved.

Sister Barbara Spann was elected Treasurer of the Highlighters. The Dist 18 Conductress Special Event Style Show and Luncheon will be held on July 31,2004 at Florance Chapter. price for the tickets are $5.00.

The Bible and Guest Book for Sister Glenda was discussed and Sister Glenda said Sister Mittie Small wanted to get the Bible and that her Fraternal Sisters the Guest Book.

The Dist 18 Conductress will get the Scrap Books for both Sister Glenda and Bro. Johnnie and the Guest Book for Bro Johnnie.

Our next meeting will be April 25, 2004 at Sister Barbara Spann' home on 3355 Ryan Dr.,Little Rock. Phone No. 888-4095 if you have any trouble.

The June meeting will be on the 27th at Georgia Graham Coors Dr.

Third Meeting - December 2, 2003

The Highlighters met on December 2,2003 in the Convention Center, Exhibit Hall at 6:30 P.M.
Those present were Glenda Payton, Carolyn Glover, Jan Jackson, Georgia Graham,
Harold Mc Intire and Alene Otts.
A fashion show and luncheon was discussed and decided on to have it at Florence Chapter.
Harold said he would check with Paul Morelle for clothes to model.
Jan will check with Catherine's.
Carolyn and I would check with Dillards and Grace Ice.

Georgia Graham was elected secretary of the Club.
The Bible and Guest Book was discussed.
The Bible should be ordered early so a cover can be made for it.
Jan and Georgia will take care of that.
Glenda will have to set up pre registration.
Carolyn Glover , president of the Club said she would open an account in the Highliters name.
It was decided that the Grand Sentinel should be included in the Highlighters meetings.
The first meeting in 2004 will be at Georgia's home on February 29th and letters should be sent out on the 8th of February inviting all members.

Second Meeting - August 25th, 2003

Sister Glenda's Associate Conductress , District 16 Club meeting took place on August 25th, 2003, at Jennie B. Hopkins Chapter.

The meeting took place in the dining hall. The meeting was called to order by Sister Carolyn Glover. president. Those attending were , Sisters Corinne George, Carolyn, Glenda, and Alene. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.

A motion was made and accepted to name our club "The Highlighters". A discussion was aired on some money making projects and decided on having a luncheon and style show, maybe in July, 2004. Sister Glenda placed a call to Barbara Badbury to try to secure possible dates. There was no answer so she left a message on Sister Barbara's voice mail. Sister Glenda will secure possible dates and places for the event and more detailed plans will be worked out at our next meeting. Next meeting is planned to be at Esther Chapter on November 17 at 6:00pm. Sister Glenda brought Polo and T shirts to be sold.
Polos for $15.00 and tees for $10.
The following took shirts to sale:

Alene Otts - 3 tees and 3 Polos
Corinne George - 2 tees
Judy Bell has Club Pins to sell in the district.

Post Notes: Sister Barbara returned the call just after the meeting had closed and suggested the event be July 31 or September 18. Sister Glenda will check with lodges to see which one can be used on the available dates.





First Meeting - May 10th, 2003

District 16 Associate Conductress Club met on May 10th, 2003 at Jenney B. Hopkins Chapter with Jessie Adam's group. The meeting was opened with prayer led by Sister Jessie.

The Associate Conductress' left to a different area of the room after refreshments.
Sister Carolyn Glover was elected as president and Alene Otts as secretary.
Sister Corinne George presented Sister Glenda with her scrap book.
Members present were Sisters Glenda , Corinne, Carolyn, and Alene. Carolyn said she would call the other members so hopefully they will come to our next meeting. Sister Glenda said she would send notes to them.
A motion was made and seconded that we pay $2. 00 at each meeting as club dues. It was decided that our next meetings would be August 25th at Jennie B. Hopkins Chapter at 6 pm and on November 17th at Esther Chapter.

Some of Sister Glenda's emblems are: Smiley Faces, Teddy Bears, Lamb and Lion and Red Rose.
