The meeting was opened at 6:00pm with prayer by Sister Carol James, Grand Chaplain.
A delicious potluck meal was served and enjoyed by all.
Call to order by President, Nancy Rutherford.
Welcome everyone and recognized Glenda Peyton GAC, Carol James, Grand Chaplain and Olea Bean Grand Representative.
Minutes from the last meeting were read and approved.
Treasurer reported a balance of $318.47 on hand.
President read proposed By-laws and they were revised.
A vote will be taken at the next meeting on the finished set of
By-laws.
Motion, 2nd and carried to have a Fund-raiser on Saturday August 16th,
Morning after Glenda’s Honor night. Breakfast from 7am to 10am with a charge of $5.00 at the Masonic Lodge. Renee, Olea and Laura will be in charge of arrangements and tickets.
President Nancy appointed Vivian Carter Publicity Chairman.
Committee on Tee Shirts (Mary Beth & PA) reported with several options of prices, sizes and designs. Motion, 2nd and carried to let the committee purchase the Tee Shirts with the approval of the President.
Committee on Pins (Carol & Renee) showed two pins for the club to select from. A Smiley Face with bright yellow background was selected by those present. Motion, 2nd and carried to let the committee purchase the pins.
Committee on Dues Cards ( Renee & Glenda) reported that the cards were done.
Olea Bean was installed as Vice President for the current year. She was ask and agreed to move up as President in 2004.
Motion, 2nd and carried that the President would invite other Chapters to host Smiley Face meetings.
A discussion was held on the $2.00 price for Pot Luck. It was decided that a container would be available for donations, rather than setting a specific amount.
