Glenda’s Smiley Face Club
Thursday, April 29, 2004

The meeting was opened with prayer by Bro. Ed Rutherford.

Potluck was served and enjoyed by all.

Nine were in attendance.

Call to order by President Olea Bean.

Minutes of 1/29/04 read and approved.

Treasurer reported sent by Sis. Carol James shows a balance of $705.99.

Unfinished Business:

1. Appoint a Chairperson for the Concession Stand at Grand Chapter.

Motion was made, second and carried to give the President Sis. Olea Bean
permission to appoint someone to be Chairman of the Concession Stand.

2. A Thank you card for Sis. Mittie Small, for giving profits of the OES Book and Disk to GSFC, was passed around for signatures.

3. Sis. Mittie has given Glenda another $300.00 (apx) from book sales.



New Business:

Glenda’s Honor night is Saturday, August 28th .
After a discussion on the amount to give Sis. Glenda and Bro. Johnnie Stovall at the honor night, a motion was made, second and carried to give Sis Glenda $___ and Bro. Johnnie $___. ( Amounts are printed in the hard copy of the minutes.)

Sickness & Distress:

Bro David Peyton is recovering much better than had been expected. Heaven opened up to receive all the prayers going up for him. He will be coming home tomorrow April 30th.

Ivalene Hamlin has ovarian cancer.
John Bean takes 1 step forward, 2 steps back.
Jan Jackson in rehab for 4-6 weeks. She has a rod in her back.
Lynn Dollar was buried April 28, 2004
Sally Dollar has a blood clot in her leg. She fell over Len’s wheelchair.

Announcements:

Sheridan, Faith & Redfield Chapters will have Worthy Grand Matron’s meeting on May 20th at the Redfield American Legion.

Sheridan presented 3, 50 year pens at their last meetings.
