"Marlene's Egyptian Cabbage Rolls"
1 - pound ground beef
1 - teaspoon salt and a dash of pepper
1 - teaspoon allspice
1/2 - teaspoon cinnamin
1/4 - teaspoon nutmeg
In a separate bowl: 2 cups rice, 3 tablespoon of butter, and 1/2 cup warm water gradually into the rice
1 - head of cabbage par-boiled
Butter bottom of pot.
Put hard strips of cabbage leaves in bottom of the pot.
Roll hamburger balls into a long cigar shape and put into a leaf of cabbage and close.
After first layer of cabbage rolls, add 4 (1/4)pieces of garlic clove; add peaces of garlic on each layer also some mint flakes.
Add dabs of butter on the very top. Add water till top layer. Bring to a boil then lower the heat to medium low.
Cook for 1 hour.
"Sauce For Egyptian Cabbage Rolls"
Take a bowl and put some salt and 3 cloves of garlic, crush it fine.
Add juice from (2 lemons). Mix well. Pour sauce over your cabbage rolls on your plate.
Very good with mashed potatoes or rice as a side dish.
