There is an incredible amount of abuse in the horse world and this website hopes to help focus some attention on it. The horse industry is one of the largest
in the country, with 1 out of every 35 Americans involved in some way. Yet
we have our "dirty little secrets" that need to be exposed. We have
livestock yards like New Holland in Pennsylvania, where neglect is compounded with
abuse -- horses with broken legs and gouged eyes and starvation-wracked
bodies are kept without water and feed before they are prodded onto cattle
trucks to be shipped to the killers. We have a special section with e-mail addresses to CALIFORNIA NEWSPAPERS, so residents there can express their feelings on the Slaughter Initiative.

And our racing industry is a horror of mass production of horses
that are used up and discarded while they are still babies. We need some information here, and we will add a page especially for this industry.
On one hand we
sentimentalize and pamper our horses, while on the other we turn a blind eye to the
atrocities that are so common as to become the norm.
