CHOOSING A WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER
When a couple sit down with their family, there are so many things that you simply MUST do . Depending on what the couple desire, they, along with the Minister and the wedding co-ordinator, and the family want to ensure that every thing is planned. After all, on this most special day of their lives, the last thing that they want is any extra or last minute changes, and anything that will add to the last minute jitters. Because, when you think of that special time, these support people's goal should be to lift the "VEIL" of uncertainty and details from the shoulders of the two people who need only to think of each other and savor each moment of this special day.
The choice of a professional photographer and videographer should result in a great confidence that every moment before, during and after the ceremony is being retained in the professional's own style.
Brevard Video Production has been working along with the area's most brilliant and prominent Photographers and have an excellent record of their "MESHING TOGETHER" to capture these events.
If you ask most professional wedding photographers they will tell you that they, along with the Videographers are artists. Simply put, a child can press a button on a camera or any aunt or uncle can bring their home videocamera and press record, but YOU DON'T GET A SECOND CHANCE to create a wedding production.
It is important to know what to look for in choosing your Videographer. Asking the right questions can guarantee you get what you really want and need. For instance, What type of format does he/she use? How many cameras will be used and where will they be placed to capture the TOTAL event without losing one single moment. Does your prospective Videographer utilize wireless microphones in the ceremony? What kind of reputation does he/she have ? How about references? Does the videographer offer to sit down and allow you to see any of their work as a sample? And another important question....do you feel that you would be relaxed and comfortable working with the Videographer?
BREVARD VIDEO PRODUCTION, (BVP), is a family owned business that began from a deep desire to create unique productions first as a hobby back in 1984. By 1986, this passion for improving and learning new techniques resulted in the formation of what is now a very sucessful and reputable production company. As the attention to detail and purchase of state of the art equipment grew, Randy quit his full time job and now dedicates his life to this business.
Although Randy's company grew rapidly, he has always retained that personal "touch" that makes him the artist that he is now. An example of this is that Randy feels that it is so important to meet the couple and get to know them personally and the result is the establishment of a very comfortable, mutual friendship that you can feel when you view the finished product.
Most people think that a photographer or videographer shoots the event and his/her job is over. The fact is Randy will painstakingly edit the raw footage from up to five cameras (he uses 3 chip digital and HI-8 cameras) and work for several days to complete the final production.
Brevard Video Productions has had the opportunity to work with some of the area's finest professional still photographers to create some of the most beautiful wedding productions in and around the mountains of the Southeast. Sample photos shown in these pages show some of these precious ceremonies. For the benefit of the artist, I try to credit all photographers to compliment their work. If you find that there is a picture displayed where the correct artist is not credited or if an artist objects to the use of their pictures here... please Email me and I will correct this.
In the future I wish to provide links to the many professionals with whom I've had the pleasure to work. As many know, artists that contribute range from photographers, videographers, caterers, organizers, clergy, and of course the beautiful settings available in the mountains of beautiful North Carolina.
