The Harry Potter Paper

My daughter Laura was told to read the first Harry Potter book as part of her Senior Literature class in High School. Laura is a christian and objected, both to her teacher and later the principle. She was not forced to read the book, but did have to read a fiction book of similar length and topic. She chose "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe". She also had to prepare a paper to present to the class why she felt she could not read the book. This paper was presented to the class and was received well by both the teacher and the students. I'm very proud of Laura and her stand for Christ. She also presented her paper at church and subsequently has received requests for reprints.
