We are in the BYU-Hawaii 2nd Stake (married Stake). We wanted to design a web page that would serve as a resource for members visiting Hawaii and help others learn about our Church.
We have many different organizations within our church. The women in our ward attend Relief Society. It is the largest women's organization in the world with over 5 million members. Most of the men in our ward attend Elders Quorum and some attend other Priesthood groups. We also have a children's organization called Primary. This is where the children from the age of 18 months to 11 years spend their time at church on Sunday.
All members go to Sunday School where we are currently studying the Old Testament.
Our ward is very fortunate to be so close to the beautiful Hawaii Temple located here in Laie. We hope that all ward members will enjoy the blessings they can receive by attending the temple on a regular basis.
The President of our church, Gordon B. Hinckley, and is called of God as a Prophet and leader. He serves with two counselors, shown in the picture below. On his right, Thomas S. Monson, and James E. Faust, on his left. Along with his counselors, the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles serve with Pres. Hinkley. Millions of other men throughout the church all over the world serve on a voluntary basis like these three leaders.
