| We are the Schroeders - Jackie, Ray, Zachary Austin and Ryan Daniel. The photo at right was taken the morning after Ryan was born. He is now nearly five years old and so grown up - how time has flown! I (Jackie) plan to update these pages in the near future. Apologies to our distant relatives for not posting more recent photos of Zack and Ryan sooner. Zack was our first little one and dominated these pages for years with photographs of his baby days. I had planned to create separate pages for Ryan, too, but the logistics of caring for two little boys and the messes they make has proved to be a bit more challenging than expected, and time has not been sufficient to update these pages regularly. Our main interest/hobby was inline speedskating before we became homeowners (and very shortly thereafter, parents). We now spend the majority of our time keeping Zachary and Ryan busy, working on our house & yard, and taking an occasional family bike ride or camping trip. The newest addition to our family arrived in August of 2005 in the form of a furry little border collie puppy named Brinks. He has caused as much a ruckus in the Schroeder family as the last addition (Ryan). Brinks considers himself the "Keeper of the Animal Portal" as he tightly controls all entry and exit through the dog door, much to the consternation of our cats, Keesa and Tiger. The former has learned to regard the Keeper with fear and loathing. The latter just ignores Brinks for the most part, being too lazy to run and too laid back to mind the occasional slobbery kiss Brinks gives him in an attempt to play. Our newest interest is shooting. We are now members of IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) and are competing as often as time allows. We most recently competed in the 2006 North Texas Regional IDPA Match July 15th in Greenville, Texas through Collin County IDPA, and although neither of us shot the eleven stages as well as we wanted, we both won brand new Springfield Armory XD-9 pistols - a blessing we never expected! More to come on that soon...hopefully I'll get some videos of our weekly competitions posted here and some links to relevant sites. |

We have devoted several pages to Zachary back when we had time to work on the web pages. When he got to about 18 months, we stopped posting photos, but we didn't stop taking them. We'll post more recent ones in the near future. "Rayman" is so busy with his eBay postings that he doesn't work on his web page much - it has been "under construction" for several years - don't hold your breath for updates!
