'Almost home' I thought as the train passed bear fields and leafless trees. I had one more stop before I traveled back to America. I had been spending about a year traveling. I had meet up with the Astors on their honeymoon. Mrs. Astor told me she believed she was preaignet. I also met with the Thayers for dinner. I had not seen Jack in a long time, and now he was almost done college.
I picked up the paper that I had bought at one of the train stops. There was never anything new to read. Stocks stayed the same; war was so far away that it did not effect me. I had gotten to the classified in the paper and found this ad.
I didn't have to read the rest. My grandmother wanted someone to accompany me to America. I had been traveling for almost a year by myself. And now she wanted me to have an escort. I was going to talk to her when I got to her house. By then, it might be too late.

"Miss Young" The conductor said waking me from a restless sleep. "We are at your stop"
"Thank you" I replied. I picked up my traveling bag and got off the train. I looked around hoping to see a familiar face.

"How is my grandmother?" I asked when we got on the road.
"Her health is fine, but she worries about you. Being alone now, especially with your parents dead." He replied.
"Have you seen the ad she put in the paper?"
"I tried to convince her other wise but."
"But what?"
"You'll find out when you get home." He said. When I get home is right. I was ready to take matter in to my own hands, and it would start with giving my Grandmother a part of my mind.
We pulled into the driveway and I was helped out of the car. I walked into the house. The maid who took my coat realized something was wrong. I stomped up the stairs and barged into my Grandmothers office.
"What is the meaning of this?" I said sternly slamming the paper open to the ad.
"I felt that you need to be accompanied to America." She said calmly. My father and me had the same temper, and she seemed to know how to deal with it.
"But why, I have traveled by myself for a year now."
"Because. I do not note need a reason. Anywise there is nothing you can do about it. Your escort has been chosen."
"What!?!"
"Yes, actually they are in the other room," She said as she opened the door. I looked in to find...
