Hello. Dobro Dosli. Kia Ora. Welcome to the JOHN CIBILICH HOMEPAGE. My name is JOHN VINCENT CIBILICH and I live in Auckland New Zealand. I was born here in May 1954. I am married to KATRINA ANNE CIBILICH and we have twin girls PETRA and SCARLETT who were born in July 1989 . I am the son of the late TOME ( TOM ) CIBILICH and IVY CIBILICH . My sister is MARIA LOVERICH .
My other interests include our CIBILICH FAMILY GENEALOGY , road cycling , duck shooting , pheasant hunting and web page design.
I would like to share some of my interests and ideas. I am particularly interested in our Cibilich family history and the history of the people of the village DUBA NEAR TRPANJ on the PELJESAC PENINSULA in CROATIA. This is where the modern day Cibilich family originates from. We can trace our Cibilich line back about 500 or more years.
My father TOME ( TOM ) CIBILICH emmigrated to New Zealand from Duba in 1937 to join his father VISKO CIBILIC who had first come here in 1924. My father's brother VLAHO ( WALLY ) D. CIBILIC arrived here in 1939. I have detailed genealogy of my Cibilich ancestors and the other Duba families going back about fifteen generations.
My other great passion is ROAD CYCLING. I ride a Serotta Legend Ti 58cm road bike with a Shimano Dura Ace group set and Mavic wheels. I train most days and I like to race now and again. I enjoy following the major international Tours and I belong to the North Harbour Cycling Club here in Auckland. I also belong to the New Zealand Masters Cycling Association.
