My Dining Room
This was my dining room before I bought the house. Notice the lovely dark brown paneling, dark brown trim on the windows, dark brown parquet flooring, dark brown wood table, ivory with blue flowers wallpaper, and those are lovely, blue vertical blinds (gag) on the windows.
This is almost my new dining room. I painted the paneling all through the dining room and living room. I used a light rose colour to brighten things up a bit. I also painted over the existing wall paper with the light rose, and painted the trim on the window white. I changed the blinds to off-white mini-blinds. Thankfully, the dark brown table didn't come with the house, so I was able to brighten up the room a tiny bit with a brass table with a smoked glass top. It still needs a little work, though... (Oh, and that's my friend Carl.)
...I have since had new carpeting installed throughout the dining room, living room and front hallway. The carpet is a moss green (kind of). I've gotten a new white wicker table base, and white wicker chairs with black and flower seats. I kept the smoked glass though, because the clear glass just made the dining room too bright. Once I have pictures developed, I'll be sure to include them here. It looks wonderful!! =)
