The Canadian Rockies

Calgary, Banff and Lake Louise

We went to the Canadian Rockies for our honeymoon. It is not the typical newlyweds choice, but it should be. We have never seen a more beautiful place in our lives. Between the snow capped mountains and the emerald green lakes the Rockies beauty put on quite a show.

The picture on the left(above)is at the bottom of Lake Louise. The shot on the right (above)is at the top of a mountain overlooking Lake Louise. If you look in the upper left hand corner(of picture on the right) you can see a white building. The is Chataue Lake Louise. That is where the picture on the left was taken.

We did a lot of exploring on many different trails. On the left(above), Jen is standing at the bottom of a glacier. Durring the winter the entire valley behind her will be filled with snow and ice. Bill(above) is standing directly opposite of Jen. That is Mirror Lake behind him.

Oh course you do have to watch out for bears. We tried our hardest to find some, but the best we could do was wonder up on some Moose. The picture on the right(above) is probably the prettiest sight we saw on the trip. The valley of the 10 peaks.

The Post Hotel

This is where we stayed - The Post Hotel. Now this is what we call roughing it out in the wilderness. Espeically when we would come back at the end of the day and jump in the jacuzzi. Then pop open a bottle of wine and sit out on the balcony and enjoy the cool evening air.
