A Little About Us

Gross Farms Alfalfa is a commercial alfalfa production farm in northeastern North Dakota. Our Location is 170 miles north of Fargo, ND. Currently we have 1000 acres of alfalfa under production. Our harvest equipment includes two Case-IH 8575 medium square balers equipped with automatic proprionic acid treaters. These treaters have in-chamber moister sensors that constantly monitor the moisture content of the hay and apply acid accordingly to assure a uniformly treated bale. These bales measure 3'x3'x8' and weigh approximately 800-900 lbs. We have numerous hay sheds to store hay with the balanced stored at the field locations with specially fitted tarps. We have two semi-tractors with 48' drop deck trailers that can haul 23-25 ton lots of hay.
