He struck me as almost oddly polite and very inquisitive. He would ask a million questions about every two minutes, soaking up whatever you said to him. He gave me a nice long hug and quick kiss when they had to leave later that evening. After a few months of spending every weekend together, his Dad and I decided to move in together. They moved into my house around Christmas time. Around that time he also asked me one day if he could call me Mommy. "Of course you can" I told him. He's called me Mommy every since. People say that you can never love a child like you love the one's that you bear and give birth to yourself. How wrong they are. I've grown to love him like he is "one of my own"
He loves Spiderman, the Hulk, and monster trucks. He likes playing "school" with his sisters. He also is getting more into swimming, something he was a little frightened of last summer. He is excited about his new baby sister on the way, and asks Mommy almost every day "How big is she now? What is she doing right now? Can I feel her kick?", etc. Here are some pics I've taken since he's been with me. Unfortunately we don't have any early pics of him. Jason lost most of them when he lost his things in storage. I have tons more than this, too, but I lost my scanner cord!! |
