Mattie Meek Clower was born November 25, 1862 in
Holmes County. Mattie, daughter of John Clower and Mary Jane Johnson.
She married Walter Scott Craft on December 28, 1880. She had six
children: Emmett Oakly Craft, Etta Lee Craft, Jesse Starks Craft,
Alice Waters Craft and John Victor Craft. She died March 14, 1896
and is buried in the Clower Cemetery, Holmes County, Ms.
