1971 Dodge Challenger:
2 dr Hardtop, Silver Frost Metallic,
Black vinyl top, hood blackout, 440 CID, 4 bbl, 727,
8.75" rear / 2.76 gears, PS, PB, AC.
Originally a 318 car, this was the first "learning" project -
we learned what NOT to use as a project car. Every piece
of metal on this car had to have attention - usually that
meant replacement - the trunk floor was gone, the floorpan,
the airbox, the doors, etc. A whole lot of time and money
was put into the car.
But it's better than the day it was new. Built to have the
best of everything on board: rallye instruments, front
& rear sway bars, firm feel steering, rotary AC compressor,
power bulge hood, etc. Pictures were taken thoughout the restoration.
This is the ultimate highway runner:
0 to 60MPH is impressive, but 60 to 120MPH is incredible!
At 120MPH the tach reads 4500RPM!!!
Still plenty to go to redline!!!
Gets 20MPG if you can keep your foot out of it.
Awesome!!!
SOLD!!
