1972 Plymouth Duster 340:
2 dr Hardtop, FC7 In-Violet, 340,
4 bbl, 3 speed, 8.75" rear / 3.23 gears, PS, AC.
This was bought from the bank as a repo car (cheap $$$)
- the real treasure was in the trunk:
a Craftsman Skilsaw, a Snap-On toolbox full of tools, a set of "X" heads,
a set of "J" heads, two "purple shaft" cams, and five quarts of FC7 paint -
"Plum Crazy" for the Dodge folks - "In-Violet" for the Plymouth folks.
One of 2401 built with a three speed manual gearbox. Interesting note:
the gear ratio for this three speed tranny is the same as the 727:
1st - 2.45, 2nd - 1.45, and 3rd - 1.00
Options include power steering, air conditioning,
bucket seats, and 3.23 gears.
Everything in the car has been restored from the ground up.
This car was originally "Tahitian Gold"
but since the FC7 paint was in the trunk why not use it?
This car is a consistent first place trophy winner at
each show it attends, most recently garnering the "Best Of Show" at
the MoPars At Wakulla Springs All-MoPar Show 2001 in Tallahassee.
Its also for sale to a good home - $15,000
