"Help, Help" cried Mother Bear. "Our basement is full of water. I must call Mr. Plumber Bear to
come fix whatever is broken." Picking up the phone, Mother Bear called Mr. Plumber Bear,
"Come quick, my basement is full of water and I can't get down there!"
While we waited for Mr. Plumber Bear to come, we went and got our sailboats to play with. We
decided to see who could sail it the closest to the far wall. Each of us took a turn, Baby Bear's
sailboat went the farthest. "I'll go get them," said Bob Bear as he walked into the water. When he
got back we were going to do it again, but Mother Bear came and told us to stay out of the
water. If we wanted to sail our boats, we should put a string on them so we could pull them
back. We were having so much fun playing that when Mr. Plumber Bear arrived, we didn't even
hear him talking to Mother Bear.
"Now you must stop playing, and go upstairs so I can get to work." he finally said to us. "Can we
sit on the top stair and watch you work?" asked Bob Bear. "Well, if you stay out of the way I
guess it will be alright" said Mr. Plumber Bear.
While they sat on the top step, Mr. Plumber Bear started to set up the pump. He put the end of
the hose out the basement window and then started the pump. The water was going out really
fast and soon he could see what the problem was. The pipe had a hole in it and the water was
squirting out. "I'll just go turn off the water and then get what I need to fix that pipe," said
Mr.Plumber Bear.
He came back with a new piece of pipe. He took a big wrench and took the old pipe off. He was
just about to put the new pipe in place when Mother Bear called down to say there was a phone
call for him.
Mr Plumber Bear went upstairs and talked on the phone. He told someone he would be over to
their house later when he had finished fixing our pipe. Mr. Plumber Bear asked Bob Bear to
come down and hold the pipe in place while he connected it. When Mr.Plumber Bear was done,
he went upstairs to talk to Mother Bear about the cost of fixing the pipe. Bob Bear went up to
ask if he could go with Mr.PLumber Bear to the the next house to help him again.
Mr. Plumber Bear said he would like that very much if Mother Bear said it was alright. "Well that
is fine with me," Mother Bear said, "And you will bring him home later right?" "Yes, I'll bring
him home and if he does a good job, I just might let min work with me on the weekends." said
Mr. Plumber Bear. "That wold be good," said Bob Bear, "I think I would like to be a plumber
like you."
Bob Bear and Mr. Plumber Bear got into his truck and drove off.
The End.
