Oh boy oh boy, its almost Halloween and I'm still here at the store. Will anyone ever take me
home? I'm not happy being here by myself. Every other scarecrow has been gone for weeks. Oh
here comes a little girl with an old lady her grandmother I bet. Maybe she will buy me. No, no,
don't go on by, please stop and look at me I really am scarry just listen... Boo Boo-oooo.. See I
can scare you. Oh Well, maybe the next ones.
Poor Suzy, no one seems to want her. If she is not bought they will put her in the storage room
and forget about her all together. She will never see anyone ever again.
It was time for the store to close, the people who worked her were turning off the lights and
getting ready to close the door when the phone started to ring.
I'll get it the young lady said. "Hello, Judy's toy store may I help you?"
"Why yes, I was in the store yesterday and saw you had a scarecrow left, do you still have
it?"
"Let me look, please hold on. Will someone turn on the lights again? I have to look and see if we
still have that scarecrow." In a few minutes she picked up the phone again, "Miss, yes we
still have the scarecrow, would you like me to put a tag on it for you?"
"Yes, will You? My name is Suzy Smith, and I will come in the morning to pick it up."
"Thank you Miss Smith, it will be here for you."
After hanging up the phone she wrote out a tag and went over and pinned the tag on the
scarecrow. Then she went back over and turned off the lights, closed and locked the door for the
night.
Suzy was so happy that someone had finally bought her, . I'll be the scariest Scarecrow anyone has ever had said Suzy...
BOOOOOO!
