Fruit Cocktail Cake - from Nancy

2 cups flour
1/3 cup shortening
1 scant tsp. baking soda
1 17 oz.) can fruit cocktail
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt

Grease and flour an 11x16" pan. Mix all ingredients together well. Pour mixture into a pan and bake at 300 for 45 minutes. Ice in pan, while warm.

Icing
1 stick margarine
1 can flake coconut
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup canned milk
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Mix all together in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes and pour over warm cake. (Very yummy and quick! Enjoy!!)
