Korean Bulgogi - from Nancy A.

1/2 cup soy sauce
3 Tbsp. sugar
1/8 cup sesame seed oil (can substitute olive oil, but not as good)
1 to 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. ginger (powdered or crushed ginger root)
3 Tbsp. sesame seeds (optional)
green tops from scallions (sliced)
2 lb. beef cubes (sliced thin)
cooking oil (sesame seed or olive oil)

Combine all ingredients (except beef and oil). Place beef in mixture. Let stand overnight. Fry beef in oil or cover grill with foil and cook. Serve with white rice. Yield - 4 to 6 people.
