Richard emigrated to PEI 1820 on brig Plymouth Dock Hero to Charlottetown
with his parents.
Richard and Mary are listed as living in French Village at the time of
Lewis John, Joseph Bennett and William's baptism
Text from Charlottetown Patriot 17 MAR 1896 : From Albion Bay time
of his death. He (Richard) built a vessel with his brother L.J. Westaway
using their own resources. He afterward buit quite a number of vessels
and made several voyages across the ocean to his native land. Richard
and Mary had 12 children, 8 sons and 4 daughters. Of these eight
survived, 5 sons and 4 daughters. Member of the English Church at
Georgetown.
