Why do we take our Father's for granted?
I am one of the Lucky ones because my Dad
is still with me today.
I still have time to tell him that
I love him.
I have been viewing many sites
on the web and their are a lot of
sites that have memorials to their
Fathers because they have already
passed away. My heart goes out to
you if this is the case.
There is so much I want to say to
My DAD!
Mostly I want to say that
I Love You Very Much!
Thank you for being there for
me all of my life!
When I was growing up I thought
that you were to strick!!
But after I was a Mother
I understood why you were.
Thank you for not giving in
and letting me do what I wanted.
I could have gotten hurt,
physically as well as emotionally!
Thank you for playing all the games
with my sister and I as well as with
all of our friends.
I could list a million things that
I am thankful for but everyone
would get bored.
I Love You from the bottom of my heart!
The reason that I picked this
background is because a couple
of days ago you told me a little
story that I want to share with everyone.
My Dad has a boat that needed some
work done on it before he could take
it fishing again. It has been sitting
in the back for several years waiting
for him to get it fixed.
You have to understand that my
Dad loves to go fishing.
Well he has been working on it
for several days and some of
may Aunts and Uncles were going
to visit my parents and help him
finish getting to boat ready.
When they got there he had the
boat ready so they took the boat
to the water and planned to
spend the day and stay over
night.
When Daddy put the boat in the
water he then had to move the pickup
and park it and when he got back
to the boat he saw water in the
bottom of the boat. Well it didn't
take much to realize that he had
taken out the plug. Not to bad you
say, but he had left the plug at home.
Well, he was able to find a man that
sold him an old plug so they were
able to out on the water.
They get out in the water with my
Aunt and Uncle and next it starts to
rain and rain. They are getting very
wet, but true fishermen don't let a
little rain stop them!
Daddy, after throwing out his line
next realizes that he has left his
fishing license at home with the
plug so he has to sit and watch
while everyone else fishes.
When he was telling me this at
the end he said that his only
excuse was that it had been so
many years since he had gone
fishing that he was out of practice.
I think that he was just so excited
that he got in a hurry and forgot!.
Well, Daddy, now that I have told
the world that you are a forgetful
fisherman I will just say again,
I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!!
Even though we are 2,000 miles
apart, you are with me every minute,
I Love you,
Joanie
