"Life is like a rose bud, Staggered Working Hours First of May happens to be Labour Day. On the following day, the government sector in Kuala Lumpur starts working at staggered hours, where more than half of the work force starts work at 7.30 a.m. and the rest at 8.30 a.m. Since many people opt for the earlier time, certain routes get to be very congested even as early as 6.45 a.m. A couple of nights ago, a friend working in the private sector called over the phone. One of the things we talked about is the easier traffic after 8.00. Good for us all.... less stress and more time with the family, since we spend less time on the road. If that's not true, say your piece, click here. Reflections ...... The weather for the past 2 months have been very hot. The daily temperatures reach highs of 37 degrees Celcius. All else in the world are news of natural disasters in the magnitude quite worrying. Everybody seem to be pointing their finger at the Al Nino phenomena. Have you ever wondered if that's true, or we just want to reassure ourselves that at least there's Al Nino to take the blame? Al Nino seems to be responsible for everything wrong in the world. Give these Al Nino sites a peep...... Amir is the picky one in the house. No tact, no diplomacy. One day, coming home from school and very hungry, he went straight to the kitchen. Picked up the plate and started filling his plate with hot and steamy rice. then there's a lull. Suddenly, "Mak, were you at the computer, again?!" Oh, oh... thinks mum. "What's wrong, Amir?" "The rice is burnt again." "Sorry. I was thinking about some other things and forgot to check the rice............" mumbles mum. Check out here for previous entries. |
