We have been involved with the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen since 1983. I became fascinated with them while living in England and began to watch them at the dog shows. It wasn't long before I purchased my first P.B.G.V. In 1992 I imported English Champion Dunarden Clairon Of Kasani ("Nimrod"). He was Best in Show winner having won the British P.B.G.V. Championship Show with over 93 other hounds and he had been the number 1 P.B.G.V. in Britain the previous year. Six weeks after his arrival in America, he was Best of Winners (over 80 hounds) the PBGVCA National Specialty in CT. To me, he is the epitome of what an adult Petit should be in size and type. We have other hounds at Jamar including Ch. Jamars Kindred Spirit and Jamars Class Action, our new import, English and American Champion Kasani Ravassant ("Flurry"), Ch. Jamars Devils Advocate ("Dallas"), and the new kid Much Ado About Jamar ("Rosalind"). We do not have a kennel and our dogs are also our family pets. We usually have two litters a year where our puppies are home raised and well socialized. "Nimrod" and "Dallas" are available at stud and we occasionally have older dogs available.
