Notes:
Jacob B. Swisher enlisted in Co.E, 11th Ohio Infantry (a 90 day org)as a
private on April 19, 1861.  He was 21 years old at the time.  He was
mustered out on August 21, 1861.  He had joined in Covington, OH.  He then
joined the 57th Indiany Infantry Volunteers, Company D in October 28, 1861
in Richmond Indiana.  He held ranks of Corporal, Sergeant, 1st Sergeant and
then 2nd Lieutenant.  He was medically discharged in November 1864.  At age
22 his record shows that he was 5 ft 8 inches tall, fair complexion, grey
eyes, dark hair and his previous occupation was as a miller.

Some of his children who stayed in IA were in a business making and selling
a "home remedy" called Swisher's Tonic or a similar name.

The Fred Bridenbaugh mentioned above was my grandfather.
