The Stealth Baby

Guess what - I'm ten to 11 weeks pregnant already!!! (I'm having a stealth baby!) So in the space of two weeks I've gone from having the flu to being nearly 3 months pregnant! Holy shit I'm having the baby in February or early March!! I think I'm still in a state of shock. I go from being euphorically happy about the upcoming baby to totally freaking out. Hell, in two weeks I'll be in maternity clothes!!

On next Monday I have another doctor's appointment. I'm going to take my little hand held tape recorder and tape record the baby's heartbeat! I can't believe I didn't think of it with either Pumpkin or Precious. I had to go and give a few vials of blood on last Friday. They did some huge and expensive test that is going to better predict my due date. I assume my brilliant answer of "When did I get pregnant? Well, I until yesterday I thought I had the flu and I've been sick for maybe 6 or 8 weeks now" was not particularly helpful. The next questions is "Well, when was your last period?" and I answer, "Hmm, that would be in August of 1997." (I've had what, a singe period in the past 4 years! So on Monday I will have a better idea of what is going on. Right now they are guessing 10 to 11 weeks, but who knows.

Hubby bought a satalight system over the weekend and has now configured the TV in such a way that only he knows how to get it to work. Very amusing - so last night we have over 100 channels and there was still nothing on. Ha ha.

Went to the zoo with Pumpkin and Precious this weekend. Another fabulous time was had by all. They both just love the animals. Pumpkin really like the camels. It was pretty cool, the camel used it's one back leg to scratch the other back leg -- and then Pumpkin imitated him saying 'lookit how the camel scratches' and he used his foot to scratch the back of his other knee. It was really really cute! Oh, he's growing so fast! Precious seems to particularly love the big fish at Amazonia, and the moneys at the Think Tank.

So, that's the news here. I'm still feeling pretty good, although I am a bit queasy in the mornings. Hopefully this will continue (the feeling good part), and I live in fear that I'm going to start throwing up soon.
