Since this is my own little spot
in Cyberspace, I'll just put in a few
things that I enjoy and have it be a
place where friends and family can come and
visit for awhile!
I could give a long, detailed biography,
but since this page is primarily for my
friends and family members, you already
know all that stuff and definitely don't
want to be bored hearing it again!
So, I'll just tell you about what kinds of
things I'm doing lately and include some
links that I've found helpful to me.
Those things in life most important to me
include:
Faith
I have a deep testimony of a loving Father in Heaven and
in our Savior Jesus Christ. I am a member of The Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. To find out more you may
view the Church's official site.
Family
I was introduced to Bob by a good friend at Church who has since
become my dear mother-in-law (Bob's Stepmother)! He was living in
Nebraska and I was in Oregon, so our courtship was financially very
beneficial to Sprint!
A short time later, we were married in the Oregon Temple and ever since,
have enjoyed the adventures of life together.
When we married I had custody of my Nephew William. Will was eleven
then and good at it! He and Bob hit it off and now he is grown, joined the
Army and is now living in Alaska with his sweet wife Maren and their
gorgeous daughter Demerise Alanya. We just don't see them aften enough.
We are also blessed with a wonderful extended family on both sides.
On my side is the Bahrt family, most of whom have migrated from parts
in the West and now live in Oregon and Arizona. The Rebo side
started out in Oregon, but has
branched out a bit in California and elsewhere.
Friends
Besides enjoying the occasional "pity-party" where
we stay up late lamenting the 'status of the quo' and
fuel our resolve with Peanut M&M's and Double Stuff
Oreo's... my friends and I have literally solved
all of the world's troubles - - many times over!
We can laugh at the world, as much as we laugh with
it. We have cried tears of sorrow in times of pain, and tears
of happiness in times of joy. We have resolved most
of all to live -- and to live fully however and
wherever we may find ourselves. I will be eternally
grateful for good friends throughout my life. I just
wish I had time, energy, and resources to stay as close
with each one as much today as when we were geographically
closer!
FUN!!!
I love to learn! I'm not sure if it a gift of curiosity, or
if I'm just nosy, but I love to know about lots of things in
the world. I'm not saying I'm good a remembering things, but
I sure enjoy discovering new things. From how things work, to
words in a foreign language, to learning about people and their
lives - - I just enjoy learning new things!
The Internet can send a person like me into information overload,
so I try and limit myself a bit and try and direct the focus of
what I am learning about. I have gone places and learned about
things that I never thought possible.
I have lately enjoyed working on Family History with Bob.
At the time that college would have been a natural choice, there
were things going on that got in the way. Rather than let that
determine my future, I decided to attend OJTU... On the Job Training
University. No matter what job I had, I tried to learn from it, and
I've enjoyed the process. I am now looking at opportunities for a
formal education and hope to be taking classes next semester!
