On Monday, 27 May 2002, Debi and I drove to to the Lorraine American Cemetary in
St. Avold, France. We put flowers on the grave of one of the brave soldiers who
gave his life in defending freedom. In order to better see the name carved in
the headstone, the caretaker rubbed in sand from the beach at Normandy.
