Larissa

I arrived in Larissa in November 2000 and stayed here for one year. I lived in a penthouse apartment just south of the downtown area.

Larissa is normally bypassed by tourists, but it is an important transportation hub for central Greece. It is a lively and sophisticated town in the heart of the vast Thessaly agricultural plain.

Larissa has been inhabited for over 8000 years and only recently are the people here beginning to discover the ancient ruins that lie beneath the city.
