The meeting was called to order at 7:34 PM.
The minutes of the previous meeting were accepted into the record as presented.
The basketball hoop on the pipestem was discussed. Joe said he would talk to the lawyer about the liability aspects of having it. A decision will be made later, however, the general feeling was that the hoop should be left alone until it needs maintenance.
Some ideas for getting the two homeowners that have not paid dues for years to pay were: boot the cars, tow the cars, or remove parking privileges. The issue was tabled until the next meeting because Doreen was in the process of writing a letter to our lawyer, Harry Lowe, for advice./p>
A reminder should be placed in the next newsletter about cleaning up after your own pets and trash must be kept in cans.
A sentence needs to be added to the bylaws to enforce visitor parking as being only for visitors. The bylaws need to be reviewed anyway, along with excerpts added to the web site.
The tennis courts will be lit by 32 lights. The lights will remain on until 11 PM in the summer and 10 PM in the winter. Reston Association will vary the times if complaints are made.
Bruce Bentley does not wish to be a board member, but will take on the role of Maintenance Committee Chair. A board position is now available.
Marggi motioned to close the officer positions. The motion was approved.

The bills for the dues went out. They are for $600, as voted on at the homeowners' meeting.
The fiscal year statement will be available at the next meeting.
The management company bids are from a year ago. Jan said she would get new prices from the two competitve bidders.
Adding speed humps was discussed. If they are added, a slurry seal should be done at the same time.
It was suggested that the Maintenance and Improvement committees meet together every few months to coordinate.
Marggi recommended that all requests regarding exterior home changes be brought before the entire board at the monthly meetings. She cautioned that if any board member signs off on a change it is entered into the cluster covenants.
One of the forsythia bushes near the water pipe on the west side of the cluster is dying.
Joe wrote a letter to the owner of 1677 addressing the disruptive behavior of his tenants. The letter was discussed and approved. It will be sent on Friday, 19 April 2002.
The cluster must register every year with county animal control that we have adopted the leash law.
