My name is Jacqueline Filloon Eagan. I live in Cameron, Missouri which is just north of Kansas City, MO. Growing up, I had always wanted to own a "show dog" and I read a lot of dog stories and did a lot of day dreaming. When my oldest daughter was in 4th grade and my youngest child was almost two we decided to get a "purebred" dog. I knew we wanted a dog that didn't shed, so I looked as Westie's. I saw a West Highland White Terrier, but the woman mentioned the Bichon as perhaps a better choice with small children. So, I did my homework and I saw that she was right. Bichons are sweet natured and were bred to be companions.
I bought my first "show dog" from the late Judy Fausset. His name was Zorro, later to be known as Ch. Keleb Precioso Tesoro. Judy taught me volumes about how to be a responsible breeder, as I thought I wanted to just raise a bunch of cute puppies. I will forever be thankful that Judy came into my life at the right moment so that I did not make the mistake of selling even one pet puppy without a spay/neuter contract. I can not thank her enough for guiding me then to what I know now would have been very hurtful to the Bichon breed. Judy also helped show me how I could raise "show dogs" without going to all the shows myself. She guided me to my first professional handlers and they in turn helped push me to produce better puppies for them to show.
I also need to thank my wonderful pet owners whose feedback has helped me to produce some outstanding pet/family members. Their input has taught me that 10 weeks is a better age to leave my home than 8 weeks. They also let me know that my puppies were becoming paper and door trained, which made me realize that they were not only learning to potty on their paper, but they had also noticed the look of the door next to the papers. I had accidentally taught them door training while paper training. Now I do this on purpose instead of by accident. It is very helpful in the potty training department.

While going to shows, I spotted my first Powder-puff Chinese Crested. Ch. Gingery's Maple Syrup. It was love at first sight. So, with the help of Frank Baylis we imported our first Chinese Crested, later to be known as Ch. Taleeca Trewluv. She tap danced her way into our hearts. She would get so excited about treats it was though she were tap dancing or running in place. She would chew her popcorn thoroughly and she just had a way of always letting us know what she wanted better than any dog we had ever owned. She reminded me of Lassie! She barked and ran to whatever she wanted and always let us know exactly what she wanted. Cresteds are like potato chips though, you can never own just one. Frank Bayliss bred our second Crested too. Bayshore's Proud Mary. These two girls have been our foundation and have blessed us with some very wonderful Cresteds. All my Cresteds are related to these two girls.
