| Comments: Interesting. I didn't realize that sort of site existed. Although, I had given some thought to trying to find out if it was possible to access the Morman Church data. My Mother was the family genealogist and I have some of that information somewhere. There is another gal who has done some work on the Benson side of things. Enough at least to find out that Benson wasn't the name when the great grandfather left Denmark. So Benson was perhaps a clerical error when they landed. The Danish name was, if I remember correctly, Bennethson. Is the gendex site a good place to start looking? What sort of information do you need to get started? I suppose I ought to go down to the State Historical records and see what I find there first. I started to look there once, but ran out of time. I did find the great grandfather in one of the census books. It is interesting, but time consuming. And that is a premium item for me. Well, it has been nice visiting with you. bb |

| Comments: Since the David Torrens Address listing message gave you my e-mail this may be redundant but My family tree has a bunch of Cunninghams in it starting with Margaret Rebecca (Beck) Torrens b. 11/28/1860 married to Robert John Cunningham b. 2/28/1854. I hav the whole book on floppy disc in MS Works WPS format. I can excerpt the Cunningham pages if you like and e-mail them to you. Maybe this is not your lineage or maybe you already have it.
