In giving this summary of who I am and a brief history of my life, I have often mentioned my husband, John. He has shared and walked through this life with me and has always been my Shining Knight in Armor.
It is not easy to describe him in a few words. First and foremost he has always been a good and loving husband and father to his family. It seemed to me, that he was such a capable person in all areas of his life. He was what we called, "a jack of all trades," and master in building and repair. He was the one that did all the maintenance and repairs around our home and with our automobile.
He wanted to teach the children about survival by knowing how to take care of the land, so he gave them a few years of raising beef cattle and chickens on a farm which was a real learning experience. This was a hobby he enjoyed away from his office job and it gave him a time to share with his children. This is
him as "Farmer John". Even though it required a great deal of team work and a lot of effort on the part of the children; it was a happy time of their lives working with and learning about nature. From these experiences there came many stories that are told about this time. *smile*
Since John had grown up with country living, he never stopped loving the outdoors. Throughout the years, he would capture some treasured moments enjoying nature and especially the sport of hunting. Even though he was an avid hunter, he never boasted much about his hunting experiences. Rather, he would share the enjoyment he experienced in the peaceful surroundings of the woods, listening to all the interesting sounds of God's creatures playing around him. These were memorable times for him in finding great peace and joy in the few moments he could sieze for himself.
We have walked together through these many years and are now thinking about our future, for that time known as the "Golden Years." I would like to believe, God has guided us through each day on our journey, growing in love, wisdom and age. We are now a long way from the day that we met, but our love and commitment to each other is still standing on the strong foundation that we discovered in 1949...
You may now see my Hero
as I know him today. I am happy that he did break away from his "computer" to meet you all again.*smile*
I think it would be nice to show you one of John's very best friends, "Ysa". This dog has always loved him over everyone else. She is getting old now but she certainly has been faithful to her friend and master.
HEART GIFTS
It's not the things that can be bought, that are life's richest treasure. It's just the little "heart gifts," that money cannot measure...A cheerful smile, a friedly word, sympathetic nod are priceless little treasures, from the storehouse of our God. They are the things that can't be bought with silver or with gold, for thoughtfulness and kindness and love are never sold...They are the priceless things in life for which no one can pay, And the Giver finds rich recompense, in giving them away. Love requires sharing, sharing requires struggle, Struggle require faith, Faith requires Love.
HAVE I TOLD YOU LATELY THAT I LOVE YOU
