Shirley Mae Thoss, 74, of Florence, died Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Church, Florence. Her husband, Ralph Thoss, died in 1981. Survivors include daughters, Carol Robinson of Burlington, Janet Flick of Florence, Kathy Campbell of Covington, Donna Hiles of Erlanger and Kim Caruso of Dayton; sons, Ralph Thoss of Edgewood, Tom Thoss of Fort Mitchell and Dave Thoss of Bristol, Wis.; a brother, William Durstock of Edgewood; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be at 12:10 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Church. Visitation will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright. Memorials are suggested to Senior Services of Northern Kentucky Transportation, 1032 Madison Ave., Covington, Ky. 41011.

Beatrice M. Durstock , 91, of Burlington, died Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. She was a bookkeeper with Burrough's Co., Cincinnati, and a member of St. Paul Church, Florence. Her husband, William Durstock, and sons, James Durstock and Paul Durstock, all preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, William Durstock of Independence; a daughter, Shirley Thoss of Burlington; 24 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be at 12:10 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Church. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. He was a technician and operator with Tri-State Refrigeration, Cincinnati, and a member of St. Benedict Church, Covington. Survivors include his wife, Janet Durstock; a son, Paul E. Durstock of Newport; a daughter, Lori Elliott of Florence; his mother, Beatrice Durstock of Burlington; a brother, William Durstock of Independence; a sister, Shirley Thoss of Burlington; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mass of Christian burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Benedict Church, Covington. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. James ''Jay'' C. Durstock , 36, of Cincinnati, died Saturday at Franciscan Hospital-Western Hills, Cincinnati. He volunteered more than 2,000 hours at Chil dren's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, and was a member of St. Cecilia Church, Cincinnati. Survivors include his mother, Joan Durstock of Cincinnati; a sister, Julie Spaulding of Cincinnati; brothers, Jeff Durstock, Jerry Durstock and Joe Durstock, all of Cincinnati; and grand mother, Beatrice Durstock of Covington.
